The tenth hotel of the Oro Verde chain has been in operation for six weeks in Loja and was part of the offer for the last two holidays with discounts of 50% and a special rate of $50. But the ribbon cutting of its official opening was gave on the night of Thursday, May 12, 2022.
Its doors opened in the historic center of the cultural city of Loja. The Ministry of Tourism highlights that in addition to having a first-class lodging service, this hotel offers a combination of Ecuadorian and international cuisine capable of surprising its visitors. And that this new Loja service generates 18 direct jobs and more than 50 indirect ones.

The executive director of Oro Verde Hotels, Edmundo Kronfle, highlighted the growth of this important chain that currently has ten hotels in Ecuador. The one in Loja corresponds to a strategic alliance between the chain and the Romar business group from Loja.
The inauguration was attended by provincial authorities. The zonal director 6 of the Ministry of Tourism, María Rosa Aguirre, made the formal delivery of the registration of this tourist establishment and highlighted “the great satisfaction of knowing that in this city, recognized for its culture and its architectural beauty, it is committed to promoting the tourism through investments such as the new Oro Verde hotel, thus contributing greatly to the economic and social development of the sentinel of the south”.
This hotel chain is 100% Ecuadorian and has a presence in seven cities: Guayaquil, Cuenca, Manta, Machala, Latacunga, Galapagos and now Loja.
For the State portfolio, this is one more example that the tourist reactivation in Ecuador is a reality, achieved thanks to the joint work between the public and private sectors.

The Oro Verde chain is made up of Hotel Oro Verde, Hotel del Parque, Villa Escalesia, Unipark and its most recent brand, launched for the first time in Machala last year, is REEC. Together they exceed 600 work places.
His goal is to reach 2025 with fifteen hotels in ten different cities in the country, Portoviejo and Santo Domingo are among his plans, and for this an investment of about $20 million is estimated. (I)
