It has long been known that herbal infusions not only have a positive effect on health and are simply tasty, but also often support the fight for beautiful and well-groomed skin and hair. If you struggle with acne, it is worth drinking a cup of pansy tea once a day. Although this drink was once a real hit, it then fell into oblivion, only to now be gaining popularity again.
What does tricolor violet help with? It’s worth having it in the kitchen
Pansies are charming, small flowers that decorate many balconies and gardens. It turns out that one of their varieties is also used in herbal medicine. Field pansy, also called tricolor violet, has even smaller flowers, but infusions are not the only ones made from them. The green parts of the plant are also important. They are harvested in May, June and autumn, then dried and used for infusions. In the past, especially in the times of the Polish People’s Republic, they were used to fight acne. Did such a treatment actually make sense?

Does pansy tea help with acne? You have to wait a while for the effects
The infusion is a rich source of vitamins A and C, as well as flavonoids, which have a beneficial effect on the skin. When used regularly, it normalizes the amount of sebum produced, relieves swelling, has antiseborrheic, cleansing and anti-inflammatory properties and strengthens blood vessels, thanks to which broken capillaries are no longer so visible. It is worth noting, however, that you have to wait a while for the first effects, and the skin condition improves gradually. In addition, pansy also has a diuretic effect and supports digestion.
How to brew pansy? Better not to rush
It is best to take pansy in the form of an aromatic infusion. You can buy ready-made dried herbs in almost every herbal or health food store. To enjoy its unique taste, brew it in a cup for about 8-10 minutes. You can also dip a cotton pad in it and place it on the problem area. If you decide to drink, do not exceed the daily dose, which is 1 to two servings per day. Of course, remember to use the infusion as an aid in the fight against imperfections, not the only solution. Acne is a disease and should be treated as such, so if you are worried about something, see a doctor. Do not exceed the daily dose of the infusion, as it may cause nausea. It is also not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women to drink tea.
