This Friday, Al-Hilal hosted Al Fateh at the Kingdom Arena, for the 29th round of the Saudi Championship, and won by the score of 3 to 1. The goals of the match were scored by Michael, Rúben Neves and Al-Bulaihi, to the home team, and Zelarayán, for the visitors.
The result keeps Jorge Jesus’ team in first place, now with 80 points won, 12 more than Al-Nassr, who is in second place. Al Fateh appears in seventh place, with 40 points.
Now, Al-Hilal returns to the field next Tuesday, at 3pm (Brasília time), in a game against Al-Ittihad, in the semi-finals of the Saudi King’s Cup. Al Fateh, in turn, will only have an appointment on Thursday, at 3 pm (Brasília time), against Al-Riyadh, for the Saudi Championship.
After a first half without many emotions, Al Fateh opened the scoring 11 minutes into the final stage. Tello received a pass at the edge of the area and found Zelarayán, who, from the right, shot a cross into the goal.
However, the visiting team’s happiness did not last long, as Al-Hilal tied the match just a minute later, in the 12th minute. After Aldawsari crossed into the area and goalkeeper Rinne left the goal poorly, the ball fell to Michael, who headed into the net.
In the 23rd minute, Al Qahtani was brought down inside the area and, after a VAR review, the referee awarded the penalty. From the spot, Rúben Neves kicked firmly to turn the game around for Al-Hilal.
In the long stoppage time of the game, more precisely in the 59th minute, Savic took a free kick and, on the goalkeeper’s rebound, defender Al-Bulaihi scored the third for Jorge Jesus’ team and closed the score.
