“Must be the music” returns to Polsat, but not as quickly as announced

Polsat plans to reactivate its popular music program “Must be the music. Only music”, which was last broadcast on the air in 2016. Contrary to previous announcements that the show may return this fall, the station decided to postpone the premiere date of the new edition.

“Must be the music. Only music” debuted on Polsat in 2011 and quickly gained great popularity thanks to its unique approach to presenting musical talents. Unlike other programs, such as “The Voice of Poland” or “X Factor”, “Must be the music” allowed for performances by various musical groups, not limited only to vocalists, but also opening the stage to bands and instrumentalists.

The reactivation of “Must be the music” has been postponed until next year

The last edition of the program is in 2016. At that time, information appeared on the website virtualmedia.pl that the new edition would probably be released this fall. Unfortunately, according to new reports, we will have to be more patient. The next season of the program is scheduled to be broadcast in spring 2025.

The most famous participants who gained popularity thanks to the program include bands such as Enej and LemON. The jury, which included, among others, Elżbieta Zapendowska, Adam Sztaba, Wojciech “Łozo” Łozowski and Kora, who died in 2018, assessed the participants not only in terms of vocal skills, but also the uniqueness and originality of their musical performances.

However, Polsat decided to postpone plans to introduce the program to its autumn schedule, giving way to other successful formats such as “Dancing with the Stars” and “Your Face Sounds Familiar”. This decision was made to better prepare and refresh the format, “which is to guarantee the high quality of the upcoming series,” we read on the Wirtualne Media website.

The search for participants for the new edition is currently underway, although official precasting has not started yet. However, according to the latest reports, the talent selection process is already underway, which suggests that the station is working intensively on the future composition of participants and jury.

Who can appear on the jury?

and where Polsat is considering permanent employment of three panel members, with a fourth position on a rotating basis. Potential candidates for the jury include names such as Justyna Steczkowska and Igor Herbut, as well as rumors related to Doda. However, she quickly denied it in an interview with RMF FM: “No. It’s the first time I’ve heard it, really. Seriously. Nobody called me about it.”

“Must be the music. Only music” has a chance to win the hearts of Polish audiences again, offering a platform for a wide range of musical talents and a refreshed format that hopes to attract both new and old fans of the program.
