“Everyone watches it, but they are ashamed.” Canal + announces another series that will hit stereotypes

The Polish TV series comedy market has been experiencing a real renaissance in recent years. Everyone’s sense of humor is different and it is difficult to create a universal production that will make everyone laugh. However, series such as “1670” by Netflix or “Emigracja XD” and “The Office PL” by Canal + maintain the level, satisfy critics and entertain viewers. The creators of the last two are back, this time with a plot dedicated to a reality show.

“Everyone watches them, but they are ashamed to admit that they do it for fun,” we read in the production’s announcement. The new CANAL+ series is an accumulation of all the dramas, absurd fights, tearful confessions and brutal competition.

“The Love Algorithm” on Canal +. A new comedy about a reality show

The participants of the comedy parody series “The Love Algorithm” show that they are ready for anything. They put their fate in the hands of artificial intelligence to find a perfectly matched love and win the prize – but how much can you do for reach, fame and money? Canal+ viewers will soon learn the answers to these questions.

“The Love Algorithm” is a series from the creators of the above-mentioned “Emigracja XD” and “The Office PL”, who announce it as a parody not only of reality, but of the entire entertainment and mass culture – celebrities, influencers, feminists, tradewives, cryptocurrencies, nepobabies, overscaled ideologies and pseudo-religiosity.

– Viewers love bikini reality programs because their characters’ love adventures and life reflections make us laugh, shock and disbelieve. It is here, as in a magnifying glass, that all the desires and clichés of mass culture are reflected. We followed this approach when directing “The Love Algorithm”, adding an increasing fear of artificial intelligence. We juggle with stereotypes and parody of cheap and simple television. We are convinced that this formula will engage viewers and provide them with a solid dose of entertainment – explain the series’ directors Aleksander Pietrzak and Michał Tylka.
