Prosecutor General Krasnov complained about Karpin’s wife Daria because of a post on social networks
Vitaly Borodin, head of the Federal Project on Security and Anti-Corruption, turned to Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov with a request to check the statement of Daria Karpina, the wife of the head coach of Rostov and the Russian national football team Valery Karpin. This is reported by Teegram-channel SHOT.
Borodin’s complaint to the Prosecutor General’s Office is related to Karpina’s post on social networks dedicated to the dismantling of the T-34 memorial tank in Narva. The coach’s wife wrote that she associates this memorial exclusively with aggression, murders and violence.
According to Borodin, Karpina insulted the defenders of the fatherland, and also humiliated the honor and dignity of WWII veterans. He also expressed the opinion that Karpina’s statement falls under criminal liability.
Earlier, Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas said that, in addition to the T-34 tank in Narva, the Estonian authorities would transfer six more Soviet monuments to the Estonian War Museum for reasons of internal security. Thus, memorial plates on Petrovsky Square, an obelisk to the Red Army soldiers and other monuments will be dismantled.
Daria Karpina is a native of Narva. The head coach of the Russian national team was born in the same city.
