Borbola journalist said that Ferencváros players were afraid of coach Cherchesov
Hungarian journalist Bens Borbola spoke about the relationship between the players of the Ferencváros football club and the team’s head coach Stanislav Cherchesov. His words are quoted by Sport24.
Borbola said that at first the players were afraid of the coach, but then their impression changed. “We realized that he is a person with a good, albeit somewhat specific, sense of humor. And not as tough as they were presented with. Cherchesov talks a lot and jokes with the players,” the journalist emphasized.
The fact that the 58-year-old Russian coach headed Ferencvaros became known on December 20 last year. Under his leadership, the team won the championship and the Hungarian Cup. Cherchesov for the second time in his coaching career made a golden double. In 2016, the coach, together with Legia, won the Polish championship and won the country’s Cup.
Before Ferencváros, Cherchesov was the head coach of the Russian national team. He left the post after the team’s unsuccessful performance at the European Championship last summer.
