The Polish national team could secure themselves on Thursday in the A division of the League of Nations before the last Sunday match with Wales. The team led by Czesław Michniewicz was enough to draw with the Netherlands at the National Stadium to take advantage of Belgium’s victory over Wales and be sure of playing in the top division in the next edition of the competition. The Dutch striker, however, wanted to take it over, so he attacked Szczęsny, leaving his leg just in front of the ball, which hit the Polish goalkeeper in the head. An incredible fury written on Szczęsny’s face

More players immediately moved to Szczęsny to distract the Polish goalkeeper from their rival. The fury that was painted on Szczęsny’s face gave the impression that he was ready to fight. It must be admitted, however, that it was one of the few moments when we witnessed emotions on the pitch with the participation of Polish players.

Only Bednarek was able to calm Szczęsny down. The judge, however, had no doubts that the Polish goalkeeper was overdoing it with his reaction. And although the Polish goalkeeper explained that he was kicked in the head by Weghorst, who was shown a yellow card for his attack, the referee also showed it to Szczęsny.
