“We cannot continue in the dynamic of permanent and abrupt changes (in conflict teams)”, Palomino said this Thursday, during the round table “Conflict and its impacts on society.” The official added that these dialogue teams are being strengthened.

During his speech, he acknowledged that the Government has little confidence as an actor in the resolution of conflicts, this before the mining business and the communities. “The company mistrusts the Government, the community mistrusts the Government (…) the challenge is to regain trust and legitimacy”, express.

Among the actions that the Government will take, the Vice Minister of Governance said that the commitments assumed and that until now have not been fulfilled. They will also work on prevention. “We are willing to work together with the company in a regional development model.”
