Ex-Spartak player Maloyan called the salaries of children’s coaches beggarly

Former Spartak Moscow player Artur Maloyan complained about the salaries of children’s coaches, calling them beggarly. His words are quoted by Championat.com.

“The salary of children’s trainers is pitiful – a single man cannot live on it. Coaches lose their ambitions by living on that kind of money for many years. Football fades into the background, and the main issue is providing for one’s family,” Maloyan said. He noted that with such a salary, coaches have no motivation to develop.

Arthur Maloyan is 35 years old, he completed his professional career, during which he played for Spartak, Anzhi, Ural and several other Russian clubs. Now Maloyan works as a children’s coach.

Earlier, former Spartak football player Denis Glushakov spoke about the high salaries of football players. “When people say that we earn a lot, they forget that the players share with agents who take a decent percentage,” Glushakov noted.
