This is where the TV and remote control are usually located, and the trick we are describing today is related to them. The remote control requires batteries to work. No surprise here. However, we need different batteries for different devices. In remote controls, we most often find classic “thick” fingers, i.e. marked AA. When the remote control stops working, we go for new batteries. However, we don’t always have the thicker ones at hand. It turns out that “skinny” fingers, i.e. AAA, can be inserted into the remote control and it will work.

Aluminum foil will work perfectly here. Just tear off a piece of it, roll it up and put it in the remote control together with the AAA sticks. It should be in the gap between the battery tip and the spring, which acts as a wire. If we install the foil properly enough so that nothing wobbles, even a battery that is too small will fulfill its role in the remote control, and we will be able to watch our favorite programs on TV.
