Santesteban and Ostoloza will not participate in the Vuelta a España due to a respiratory infection

Ane Santesteban and Uxue Ostoloza will not participate in the 2024 Vuelta a España as announced by Laboral Kutxa-Euskadi Foundation. Both, initially planned in the team for the Vuelta, will cause sick leave due to a respiratory infection which prevents them from being in full conditions to dispute it.
The Spanish race will start on April 28 in Valencia and will end on May 5 in Madrid. In total, you will have eight stages.
Despite the casualties of Santesteban and Ostolaza, Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi will bring a competitive team and which will be made up of the following seven cyclists: Idoia Eraso, Lourdes Oyarbide, Nadia Quagliotto, Aileen Schweikart, Debora Silvestri, Laura Tomasi and Cristina Tonetti.
Participation is 21 teams13 from the WorldTour and eight Continentals, Laboral Kutxa among them.
