Victoria Bonya reveals habits driven by French burglaries

Russian television presenter Victoria Bonya has revealed that residents in the south of France avoid keeping valuables at home due to frequent regional burglaries.

Speaking in a video published on YouTube, the presenter said her own home in Europe has been burglarized three times by the very same group of intruders.

Bonya explained that residents living in southern France are well aware of the security risks and adjust their daily routines to protect their possessions. She warned that people should never store valuable items inside their private residences, advising individuals to wear whatever jewelry or valuables they need and keep all remaining assets secured inside a bank safety deposit box.

Bonya is a widely known Russian media personality, television host, and social media blogger who maintains a residence in Cap-d'Ail, a coastal commune located in the Alpes-Maritimes department of southeastern France. Positioned along the French Riviera, Cap-d'Ail borders the Principality of Monaco and is celebrated for its scenic Mediterranean coastline, high-end residential estates, and wealthy international demographic, factors that frequently make the coastal corridor a focus for property thieves.

Repeated break-ins and safety measures

Reflecting on her personal experiences with crime in Europe, the television star confirmed that perpetrators targeted her residence on three separate occasions. Bonya noted that the exact same individuals carried out each of the break-ins. In response to the repeated thefts, she subsequently installed a home security alarm system, though she assured her audience that she did not let the incidents cause her excessive distress.

The blogger previously made headlines in 2022 when details surfaced regarding another break-in at her European apartment. During that incident, intruders managed to enter the property and fled with an unusual selection of items. Bonya revealed at the time that the burglars made off with a jewelry box containing costume jewelry from a Russian brand, a single boot made by the luxury fashion brand Gucci, and an empty safe.

Gucci, an Italian luxury fashion house headquartered in Florence, is renowned for its high-end designer footwear, leather goods, and accessories. Despite experiencing multiple break-ins over recent years, Bonya continues to document her personal life, lifestyle tips, and European travels for her subscriber base on YouTube.
