Kirill Kaprizov named first NHL star of the week

Russian forward of the National Hockey League (NHL) Minnesota Wild club Kirill Kaprizov was recognized as the first star of the regular season following the results of last week. This was reported on the league website.

During this period, the 26-year-old striker played four matches. He scored six goals and six assists.

The second star of the week was Canadian forward of the Toronto Maple Leafs Mitch Marner. He has one goal and nine assists in four matches. The top three players were rounded out by another Russian – New York Rangers goalkeeper Igor Shesterkin. He helped his team to three wins and stopped 119 of 122 shots on his goal.

The NHL regular season will end on April 19. The current Stanley Cup champion is the Vegas Golden Knights.
