Maciej Rybus did not succeed in the first round of the new season in the Russian league. In mid-July, the Pole flew from the field before the break in the match with Akhmat Grozny (1: 1). Interestingly, the judge showed him two yellow cards just a few seconds apart.

First, Rybus fouled Darko Todorovic, then kicked the ball in his nerves, and finally got into a scuffle. When the situation calmed down, the judge calculated Rybus’s offenses and showed him two yellow cards and a red one at the end. The Pole was heavily criticized in the Russian media.

– He understood what he did. Immediately after the match, he apologized to his colleagues for his behavior. I am convinced that he will improve in the future and he will do anything to prove that it was just an accident at work. Rybus is a great professional and that it will not happen again – said Spartak’s coach – Guillermo Abascal after the match.

“Rybus apologized several times”

Now the team’s midfielder, Mikhail Ignatov, took the floor. – He apologized to us right after the game ended. Even several times! At the same time, he thanked that we won at least a point – said the Russian.

And he added, “It’s normal that he was very worried.” But we told him not to worry as this could happen to anyone. In training you can see that Rybus is a very good player with great experience. And most importantly, it does not show that he will be 33 in a moment. For him, age is just a number.

The match against Akhmat was the only one in which Spartak lost points. Abascal’s team has three wins in a row behind them. Spartak defeated in turn FK Krasnodar (4: 1), FK Orenburg (4: 1) and Ural Yekaterinburg (2: 0). Rybus only played in the second one.

In the match against Krasnodar, the Pole did not play because of the suspension, and an injury eliminated him from the match with Ural. It is possible that Rybus will return to the field for Sunday’s game against PFK Sochi.
