Peruvian actress Bárbara Cayo has reported a burglary at her residence in San Isidro after thieves broke into the home and stole gold jewelry and personal passports.
The incident occurred on Saturday, August 15, at approximately 3:00 p.m. while Cayo and her family were out of the house. Upon returning, they found the garage open and several rooms inside left in disarray.

Stolen valuables and personal documents
Among the items taken were multiple gold pieces that carried significant sentimental value for the actress. Cayo explained that some of the stolen jewelry had belonged to her late father, who served as an officer in the Peruvian Air Force.
The perpetrators also took personal documentation, including Cayo's Peruvian passport and Italian passport. In a video released after the break-in, Cayo lamented the loss of her gold belongings and questioned why intruders would take personal passports in addition to her jewelry.
Security camera footage
Surveillance camera footage recorded two men linked to the break-in, showing that they spent about eight minutes inside the property. According to Cayo, one suspect remained outside to watch the surrounding area while the other approached and entered the building before both fled with the stolen items.
Cayo noted that additional security cameras positioned along the street could provide details regarding the route taken by the suspects. She confirmed that she has completed the formal procedures required to file a police report.
Public appeal and background
The actress shared the security camera images online and asked her social media followers to help identify the two men shown in the video. She expressed outrage after discovering the inside of her home left in disarray during the robbery.
San Isidro is an affluent residential and financial district in Lima, the capital of Peru. Cayo is a prominent Peruvian actress and television personality, and is the sister of actress Stephanie Cayo.
