Hiandra Martínez Debuts as New Face of YSL Beauty

Dominican model Hiandra Martínez has been named the new face of YSL Beauty, the beauty division of French fashion house Saint Laurent, marking her first time serving as the image for a cosmetics line.

Her debut in the role comes alongside the launch of the YSL Skin Affair Cushion, a new liquid foundation presented in a compact, clutch-style case that blends makeup with the brand's sleek, modern aesthetic.

For Martínez, the campaign marks a return to the house where her international career began. She first walked internationally for Saint Laurent, and now comes back to the French label in a new capacity as the face of its beauty line.

Sharing the campaign images on social media, Martínez said it was an honor to be part of the new YSL Beauty campaign, describing it as a new chapter and a new face, but with the same energy.

From Azua to the world's top runways

Martínez's path into international fashion began in 2016, when she was discovered during a casting call in her hometown of Azua, in the southwest of the Dominican Republic, by Sandro Guzmán of Ossygeno Models.

Her presence quickly drew attention from industry professionals, leading her to sign with Next Management, one of the most recognized modeling agencies in the world.

A year later came one of the defining moments of her career. In 2017, Martínez made her debut at Paris Fashion Week, walking for Saint Laurent, the storied French luxury house founded by designer Yves Saint Laurent in 1961. That appearance launched a run of appearances on some of the fashion industry's most prominent runways and campaigns.

Since then, her name has been linked to luxury labels including Prada, Miu Miu, Chanel and Valentino, cementing her presence at major fashion weeks as well as in editorial productions.

Her face has also appeared in the pages of leading international publications, among them Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Elle, making her one of the Dominican models with the highest international profile.
