The US will ban the sale of smartphones Google

In the United States, several patents in the field of consumer electronics manufacturing have been infringed by Google. This is reported by The Verge.

The United States International Trade Commission (USITC) ruled that Google infringed five Sonos patents. The inventions relate to technologies that allow you to transmit and broadcast sound from one device to another. In theory, this decision of the regulator could force Google to stop importing equipment and trading in the United States. The reporters approached Sonos, which confirmed that Google was using their patents. The company listed devices that were allegedly produced using patented technologies – smart speakers Nest Hub, Nest Mini, computers, Pixel smartphones.

“We do not expect any impact on our right to import or sell products,” Google spokesman Jose Castaneda commented on the USITC decision. The company has 60 days to appeal the decision. Journalists noted that even if Google does not face a real ban on the sale of technology, the precedent will one way or another hit the corporation’s reputation.

In September, Jawbone sued Apple and Google over patents. The document said that these corporations violated Jawbone’s rights to a number of patents and did not pay royalties.
