With the result at Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán, Real Madrid remained second in La Liga, with 77 points, four more than Atletico Madrid, third in the table, who will still play in the round. Sevilla, on the other hand, dropped to 10th place with 49 points and is outside the qualifying zone for European competitions.
First time

Second time
In the second stage, both technicians promoted substitutions. Eduardo Camavinga and Álvaro Rodríguez came on for Real, while Suso and Jordán came off the bench for Sevilla. The match remained open, with chances for both sides.
In the 23rd minute of the second half, Toni Kross passed to Rodygo for a counterattack. The attacker dribbled the marking and touched low in the goalkeeper’s corner, turning the match to Real Madrid.
