Neymar hurts his ankle in a PSG game and leaves the pitch crying; see photos

Striker Neymar injured his right ankle this Sunday morning during the comeback win for Paris Saint Germain (PSG) over Lille, by 4 to 3, in the Parc des Princes. The Brazilian, who had scored a goal and an assist in the match, suffered a blow early in the second half and left the pitch crying, on a stretcher.

The problem arose after a tackle by André Gomes, from Lille, who was marking Neymar at the time. In the bid, the star ended up spraining his ankle due to the load he received from his rival from behind. At first, it didn’t seem to be a hard foul, so much so that the player even received a yellow card.

It should also be noted that the pain is in the same place that Neymar was injured during the world Cup from Qatar in 2022.

The ace, now, must be submitted to a series of deeper examinations to know the seriousness of the injury. In just over two weeks, on March 8, PSG will visit Bayern Munchen for the round of 16 second leg match Champions League. The first leg ended 1-0 for the Germans.

Criticized by the local press for playing poker and eating fast food after Paris Saint-Germain lost to Bayern, Neymar was one of the highlights of his team’s heroic triumph. When he was replaced, the team was leading by 2-1, but ended up suffering the turnaround after the Brazilian left. In the final minutes, Mbappé and Messi scored and put the Parisian club back in front.

With the goal and the goal pass since Sunday, the former Santos player has a total of 18 balls in the net and 17 assists in the current European season. PSG leads the French Championshipwith 57 points earned.
