Model Korina Rivadeneira has spoken out publicly for the first time about her separation from Mario Hart, revealing that he ended their marriage.
The Venezuelan television personality explained that she spent an entire night contemplating how to address the split without harming anyone before deciding to share her side of the story. Speaking with a breaking voice, she stated that she had a right to defend herself and recount what she experienced after remaining silent out of respect for her children and ongoing legal and family matters.
Rivadeneira emphasized that the former reality television star was the person who ultimately decided to terminate the relationship. She acknowledged that although she fully agreed with the final breakup, the race car driver had previously proposed separating on two earlier occasions.

Agreement on silence and media speculation
Rivadeneira explained that her primary reason for avoiding public commentary was to protect the couple's two children. She and Hart had established a mutual pact to refrain from discussing their situation until resolving pending legal and family issues.
Although she honored the agreement and kept quiet, Rivadeneira felt her silence allowed outside observers to fill the space with speculation and opinions that failed to reflect her actual experience. She noted that the marital breakdown had been developing over many years due to contrasting mindsets and divergent life plans.
The couple's differences became particularly pronounced following the birth of their daughter. Rivadeneira revealed that becoming a mother served as the definitive turning point that exposed their fundamental incompatibility.
Health struggles and social media reality
The emotional strain of the crisis took a heavy toll on Rivadeneira's physical and mental health over the past year. She disclosed that she suffered frequent panic attacks, cried regularly, and experienced severe stress that led to significant hair loss.
Rivadeneira admitted there were moments when she felt completely overwhelmed and believed she could no longer cope with life. Despite those feelings, she continued working, attending to her daily responsibilities, and raising her children throughout the ordeal.
Both Rivadeneira and Hart previously rose to national fame as contestants on the popular Peruvian reality competition show Esto es guerra. Addressing the polished image of happiness visible on her social media platforms, the former contestant clarified that online posts show only a fraction of her reality and that arriving at her current state demanded immense effort. She expressed that she is now genuinely happy, though reaching that point required a long and difficult personal journey.
