How did Mariusz Gierszewski, an investigative journalist of Radio Zet, manage to do so? The case concerns Adamczyk’s attempt to open a bank account for the public broadcaster. The notification was received by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw before Christmas. “It is currently being analyzed for further procedural steps,” declares Szymon Banna, spokesman for the district prosecutor’s office, in an interview with Radio Zet.

Adamczyk and the National Broadcasting Council responded to the allegations

“It is not true that the National Broadcasting Council was planning to transfer PLN 100 million to any account. The National Broadcasting Council, in accordance with Resolution No. 40/2024 preventing the expenditure of funds from license fees for purposes other than statutory, transferred the license fee to a court deposit,” said the head of the National Broadcasting Council. on the X portal and announced proceedings against Radio Zet. “I have ordered the Presidential Department of the National Broadcasting Council to initiate ex officio proceedings regarding the dissemination of disinformation regarding the activities of a constitutional state body,” writes Świrski.

Michał Adamczyk himself also commented on the allegations. “The alleged liquidator is acting illegally and has no legal authority,” commented the journalist. “The liquidation of the company is illegal. The registry courts refused to register the liquidation and the liquidator. I appealed against the disputed resolutions. The National Broadcasting Council transferred the funds to the court deposit. There is no possibility of illegal withdrawal from the court deposit,” he added.
