‘Rick and Morty’ dispenses with its co-creator Justin Roiland, accused of sexist violence

Adult Swim has ended its relationship with Justin Roiland, co-creator of rick and morty‘, after accusations of sexist violence against him.

This has been reported by the animated series through its official Twitter account, where it specifies that “Rick and Morty will continue” without Roilandwhich voiced the two main characters, and that the team is “hard at work” on its seventh season.

A spokeswoman for the production company that owns ‘Rick and Morty’, quoted by ‘NBCNews‘, has indicated that Roiland will be replaced as an actor behind the characters that give the series its name.

The same American chain already reported this month that Roiland had been accused of sexist violence in Orange County, California, for events that occurred in 2020 against a woman who was his partner at the time.

Specifically, he is accused of the charges of domestic battery with injuries bodily harm and one felony count of false imprisonment by threat, violence, fraud and/or deceit. Charges to which Roiland pleaded not guilty.
