The Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) offers the possibility to citizens to build, buy and improve their home through the delivery of the Housing Family Bonus, which belongs to the Techo Propio program with an amount of up to S/29,700. Own Roof Bonus: what requirements must I meet?
- Family groups must have independent land or air free of encumbrances.
- For the purchase of a home: the Monthly Family Income (IFM) must not exceed S/3,715 and in the cases of Prioritized VIS it must not exceed S/2,071.
- For construction of a home: the Monthly Family Income (IFM) must not exceed S/2,706.
- For home improvement: the Monthly Family Income (IFM) must not exceed S/2,706.
- Not having previously received housing support from the State.
- If they want to buy a home, they will not be able to have another home or land nationwide.
- If they want to build or improve their home, they must be the owners of the property where the work will be carried out, and it must be registered in the Public Registries without charges or encumbrances, and they must not have other land or housing nationwide.
Own Roof Bonus: how to register to access it?
- You must register your family group at any of the offices and centers authorized nationwide by the Mivivienda Fund.
- You must present your ID and that of your spouse or partner, if applicable, and have the complete information of all the members of the family group (name, ID, date of birth).
- If the household is headed by a cohabiting couple without marital impediment, the form must be signed by both. If the household is headed by a married couple, the form must be signed by either of them.
What are the Techo Propio program bonuses?
- Bonus of S/43,312.50 to buy a home: this economic benefit can be acquired until December 31 of this year.
- Bonus of S/29,700 for the construction of a home: this subsidy is available until December 31, 2023.
- Bonus of S/11,385 to improve a home.
