Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Kyiv has a plan to strengthen Armed Forces of Ukraine positions in Donbas following talks with top commander Mikhail Drapaty.
Writing on his Telegram channel, Zelensky said his meeting with new commander in chief Mikhail Drapaty focused on defending Kostiantynivka, Sloviansk, and the wider Donbas region. He thanked all military units carrying out combat missions in the area.

Air defense and sanctions
Zelensky said Ukraine is working at all levels to obtain air defense missiles, adding that strengthening the country serves as the best investment in peace negotiations.
Zelensky also previously announced a special sanctions operation against Russia aimed at targeting the production of critical components for Russian weaponry.
