Real Madrid announced on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026, that Brazilian forward Vinícius Jr. has signed a contract extension keeping him at the club until June 30, 2032. The Spanish club confirmed the agreement with the 26-year-old attacker in an official statement.
Vinícius Jr. joined Real Madrid in July 2018 from Flamengo when he was 18 years old. Since his arrival, he has played 375 matches, scored 128 goals, and won 14 titles with the team.
Trophies and European Success
During his time with the club, the Brazilian forward has won two Champions League titles, three Club World Cups, two European Super Cups, three LaLiga titles, one Copa del Rey, and three Spanish Super Cups. He proved decisive in Real Madrid's Champions League final victories in Paris in 2022 and London in 2024, scoring in both matches.
Individual Honors
The forward has also collected several major individual awards, including the FIFA The Best player award for 2024 and the 2024 Intercontinental Cup Golden Ball. He was named the best player of the 2023-2024 Champions League season and won the Golden Ball at the 2022 Club World Cup.
Vinícius Jr. was named to the FIFA FIFPro World11 in 2023 and 2024, selected for the FIFA ideal XI in 2024, and included in the Champions League team of the season for three consecutive years. With the new agreement, Real Madrid secures one of the key figures in world football through 2032.
