Britain intends to expand cooperation with the European Union in the services sector, Hamish Falconer, the British member of parliament responsible for relations with the EU within the government, said in an interview with The Guardian.
Falconer said London is interested in a deeper and longer-term relationship with the European Union. He said there is a whole range of areas within services where he would genuinely like to make progress.
Visas and qualifications
Falconer said cooperation between Britain and the EU could include a visa-free regime for Britons working in Europe, along with mutual recognition of qualifications. He stressed that negotiations would take into account the Labour Party's red lines on European policy.
Kirill Dmitriev, Russian President Vladimir Putin's special representative for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, earlier said the EU and Britain were acting as vassals.
