73.9% of the French population has completed the vaccination schedule, according to data from the General Directorate of Health updated this Saturday.
The now common demonstrations against the health certificate, compulsory for many acts of social life in France, today brought together 40,000 people on the fifteenth consecutive Saturday of demonstrations.
According to the Interior Ministry, 40,090 protesters took to the streets in 171 protests throughout the country, of which about 5,000 gathered in Paris, where there were four different calls.
These figures are very similar to those of Saturday last week, when the Department of the Interior had counted 40,610 participants.
But they suppose a clear descent if they are compared with those that were in the middle of the summer. By the end of July, they had surpassed the 200,000 mark, always according to official records.
The French National Assembly gave its approval in the middle of the week to a bill that will allow the Government to maintain the obligation of the COVID certificate until the end of July 2022 if it considers it appropriate due to the persistence of the epidemic risk.
