Ex-Corinthians, Carlos Augusto will face Buffon for the 2nd Italian division: “Great opportunity”

Left-back Carlos Augusto defends Monza, from the Italian second division. In the next match, the team will play against Parma, which has the legend Gianluigi Buffon in goal. The former player of Corinthians spoke about the feeling of facing the 43-year-old goalkeeper.

“It’s always amazing and a great opportunity to play together or face such great soccer players, who made history wherever they went. We now have this confrontation with Parma, from Buffon. I remember watching his games on television, playing with him in the video game and now being able to face him is really cool. I hope we can play a good game and win the victory”, commented the 22-year-old athlete.

Owner of Monza, Augusto was on the field for every minute of this season. In all, there were eight games and two goals scored by the Brazilian.

“I’m very happy to be able to do everything I came here for in Italy. I know I still have a lot to evolve, but, little by little, I know I’m growing and conquering my space. I hope to improve all these numbers even more and help Monza in the season. I feel at home here at the club and I want to repay all the good things that have been happening in my career”, he said.
