Claudinho signed a contract with Zenit on August 7, the Russian club paid 12 million euros for the 24-year-old Brazilian. This season, he has played seven matches for the blue-white-blue in all tournaments, in which he scored two goals and made two assists.
In the history of the Russian national football team, there were three naturalized Brazilians: goalkeeper Guilherme, defender Mario Fernandez and striker Ari. Only the goalkeeper continues to play for the national team.
