Pluz Energia has announced a series of scheduled power outages affecting thousands of residents across Lima and Callao from August 20 to August 22.
The electric utility stated that the temporary service interruptions are required to carry out essential maintenance and expansion work on the power grid. The company asked residents in affected districts to take necessary precautions during the specified time slots.
Pluz Energia provides electricity distribution services across northern and central metropolitan Lima, as well as the neighbouring constitutional province of Callao. Lima is the capital city of Peru, located on the country's central Pacific coast.
Schedule for Thursday August 20
On Thursday, August 20, power cuts will take place across six districts during different time windows. In Callao, service will be interrupted from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in block E of Asentamiento Humano Victor Gonzales.
In Ventanilla, a shutdown is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The affected areas include blocks 2G, 45A, A2, B1, B2, C, C2, D2, E1, F1, F2, G, G1, H1, N1, P1, T1, U, U1, V, W, X1, and Z1 in Asentamiento Humano José Olaya Balandra, as well as blocks A1, A3, B10, B11, B12, D, E, H1, L, Q1, R, R1, and X1 in Asentamiento Humano María Jesús Espinoza.
In Carabayllo, outages will run from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The affected locations are blocks A, C, D, E1, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, and N1 in Asentamiento Humano Keiko Sofía Fujimori; blocks A and B in Asentamiento Humano Sol Naciente; blocks D and E in Asentamiento Humano Nueva Aurora 5to Sector; and blocks A, B, C, D, E1, I1, and N in Asentamiento Humano Morihiza Aoki.
In Comas, interruptions are scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The affected streets and zones include blocks 11 and 12 of Avenida 22 de Agosto; block 3 of Jirón Vicente Angulo; blocks 2, 3, and 4 of Jirón Martin Aranguri; blocks 7, 8, 60, 61, 62, 63, and 64 of Avenida Universitaria; block 1 of Jirón Barceno; block 1 of Jirón Baquijano y Carrilo; blocks 7 and 8 of Jirón Gabriel Bejar; block 1 of Jirón Briceño; blocks 1 and 2 of Calle Cusihuaman; block 2 of Calle Fernandez Lopez Aldana; block 1 of Calle Dianderas; block 1 of Jirón José Santos Figueroa; and blocks A2, A3, B2, B3, C3, D3, E3, H2, U2, W2, X1, Y2, Z1, and Z2 in Urbanización Santa Luzmila.
In Jesús María, a cut is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., covering blocks 7, 8, 60, 61, 62, 63, and 64 of Avenida Universitaria; block 1 of Jirón Barceno; block 1 of Jirón Baquijano y Carrilo; blocks 7 and 8 of Jirón Gabriel Bejar; block 1 of Jirón Briceño; blocks 1 and 2 of Calle Cusihuaman; block 2 of Calle Fernandez Lopez Aldana; block 1 of Calle Dianderas; block 1 of Jirón José Santos Figueroa; and blocks A2, A3, B2, B3, C3, D3, E3, H2, U2, W2, X1, Y2, Z1, and Z2 in Urbanización Santa Luzmila.
In San Juan de Lurigancho, power will be suspended from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The affected areas are blocks C2, C3, C13, D1, D8, and D9 in Asentamiento Humano Eduardo de la Piniella; blocks C2, C3, C13, D1, D8, and D9 in Programa Ciudad Mariscal Cáceres 2da Etapa; blocks D1 and D8 in Asentamiento Humano Comerciantes y Artesanos; and block 38 of Avenida Próceres de la Independencia.
Affected areas on Friday August 21
On Friday, August 21, maintenance work will impact sectors in Puente Piedra, Callao, San Miguel, and Carabayllo. In Puente Piedra, an extensive shutdown from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. will cover blocks A, A1, B, B1, C, C1, D, D1, E, and E1 in Asociación de Vivienda Los Portales 1ra Etapa; blocks A and B in Asociación de Vivienda Las Azucenas; blocks A, B, and C in Asociación de Vivienda El Trebol; blocks C, F, H, J, K, M, N, P, P1, Q, R, S, Y, and Z in Asociación de Vivienda Las Fresas; blocks A, B, C, D, E, F, and G in Pro-Vivienda La Arboleda de Carabayllo; blocks B, C, E, H, I, and K in Pro-Vivienda San Agustín; blocks A, B, and C in Asociación de Vivienda Las Perlas de Puente Piedra; blocks A and B in Pro-Vivienda Los Sauces; blocks A, B, C, D, and E in Asociación de Propietarios de Vivienda Centeno; block B in Asociación de Vivienda Las Gardenias; and blocks A and B in Asociación de Propietarios Las Canas.
In Callao, electricity will be cut from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for Unidad Modelo Chalets 1, 2, 3, and 4. In San Miguel, an outage from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. will affect blocks 1 and 2 of Calle Martín de Murúa; block 2 of Calle Carlos Gonzales Cándamo; blocks 26 and 27 of Avenida La Marina; block 5 of Avenida Rafael Escardó; block 1 of Calle Juan Ruiz Arce; block 2 of Avenida Luis Banchero Rossi; block 2 of Calle Carlos Gonzales; block 2 of Calle Contisuyo; and block 4 of Avenida Antonio José de Sucre.
In Carabayllo, power will be suspended from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in block E of Asociación Pro-Vivienda Los Suyos El Reposo de Carabayllo. A second outage window in Puente Piedra, also from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., will affect blocks A, B, C, C1, D, E, F, I, J, K, K1, and L in Pro-Vivienda Primero de Mayo; block M in Asociación de Propietarios Antofagasta; block A in Asociación de Vivienda San Lucas de Puente Piedra; block I in Centro Poblado Los Gramadales; block M in Asociación de Propietarios y Comité de Obras; and block C in Asociación de Posesionarios 23 de Noviembre Las Palmeras.

On Saturday, August 22, scheduled cuts will affect Los Olivos, Ventanilla, and Magdalena del Mar. In Los Olivos, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., service will be interrupted in blocks A1, A2, B, B2, C, C2, D1, D2, E2, F, F2, H, H2, I, J, J1, J2, K, K1, K2, L2, LL2, M2, N2, Ñ1, Ñ2, O1, and O2 in Asociación de Vivienda Los Jardines de Chillón; blocks A, B, C, D, and E in Loteamiento Villa Mercedes; blocks A, A1, B, B1, C, C1, C2, D, D1, E, E1, F, F2, G, G1, H, H1, I, I1, J, J1, K, K1, K2, L, L1, L2, LL1, LL2, M, M1, M2, N1, N2, Ñ1, Ñ2, O1, and O2 in Asociación Portales de Chillón; and blocks A and B in Asociación de Vivienda Alameda de Chillón.
A secondary outage in Los Olivos will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., affecting Lote 2 Fundo Tabla Larga UC 02239.
In Ventanilla, a shutdown from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. will cover block 1 of Calle Pablo Bonner; blocks I1, I7, I8, I9, I14, and I15 in Urbanización Zona Industrial; blocks 2, 5, 6, and 8 of Avenida Revolución; block 1 of Calle Banchero Rossi; block 1 of Calle La Pampilla; kilometer 4.94 of Avenida Néstor Gambetta; and block 1 of Calle Nicolás Copérnico.
