Oleksandr Usyk described the behavior of Anthony Joshua after the defeat with the phrase “the guy broke”
Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk described the behavior of Briton Anthony Joshua after their joint fight. His words are quoted by the Usik17 YouTube channel.
After the defeat from the Ukrainian, Joshua threw Usyk’s championship belts out of the ring. “The guy broke. I thought: “Sick, or what? Why are you throwing them? It’s like if you weren’t allowed to play the ball, and you took it and broke it over the neighbor’s fence, where is the angry dog,” ”the boxer described the incident with this phrase.
Usyk added that he does not condemn the opponent for this act. “He trained, he believed in something, and then he lost for the second time. Joshua was in very good shape by this point, but thank God we were a little better. He was carried away a little, he said a lot of incomprehensible words, but I think he is a good person, ”the athlete shared.
The second fight between Usyk and Joshua took place on August 22 in Saudi Arabia and lasted all 12 rounds. The Ukrainian won by split decision. Thus, he retained four championship belts. The boxers had their first fight in September 2021. Usyk also won by decision of the judges, the fight lasted 12 rounds.
