Chinese automaker Geely has opened orders in Belgium for its E2 electric hatchback, marking the vehicle's official launch into the European market. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in September. The model targets the BYD Dolphin Surf with a special launch price.
The standard starting price for the Geely E2 in Belgium is 21,490 euros. However, Geely is applying a 2,000 euro launch discount, lowering the entry price to 19,490 euros. The company has not stated how long the discount will remain valid.
The electric hatchback will be available in Belgium in three trim levels: Pro, Max, and Ultra.

China Sales Record and European Competitors
The compact electric hatchback is sold in China under the name Geely Xingyuan. It became the best selling car in China in 2025, recording 465,775 unit sales. The model maintained its leadership through the first half of 2026, with 194,159 units sold in China from January to June according to China EV DataTracker data. The vehicle is also sold as the Geely EX2 in other international markets.
The launch price of 19,490 euros strengthens the model's position against European rivals. In Belgium, the BYD Dolphin Surf starts at 20,475 euros, making the Geely E2 approximately 1,000 euros cheaper than its competitor. Another main rival, the Renault 5, starts at 24,900 euros in Belgium.
