After completing the transfer, the 19-year-old Brazilian extolled the opportunity at his new club: “I’m really happy to arrive here in Norwich and really excited to play my first game.”
“I learned a lot from my adaptation here in England. It is totally different from Brazil. It’s more intense, but I’m adapting well to help Norwich.”
Marquinhos was formed at the base of São Paulo, which promoted the player in 2021. A year later, the striker agreed to transfer to Arsenal, where he still has a contract until 2027. For the London team, there were only six games, with one goal and an assist.
Marquinhos is already part of Norwich’s squad and will wear the number 13 shirt. At the new club, the athlete will play with an old teammate from São Paulo: midfielder Gabriel Sara, who has been in England since July last year.
