The victim was identified as José Alexis Rosero Nicolta, 20 years old.

Three subjects aboard a motorcycle intercepted him when he arrived at his home located in the Costa Azul citadel, in the south of Machala.

“There are several ballistic evidence that have been collected by police personnel and investigations are being carried out to determine the possible causes of this new violent death,” said Espinoza.
According to the figures managed by the Police in El Oro, so far this year there have been 129 violent deaths. A figure that exceeds that of 2020, which was 78.
