José Alexis Rosero Nicolta, 20, was killed with three shots around 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday 22.
Three subjects aboard a motorcycle intercepted him when he arrived at his home located in the Costa Azul citadel, in the south of Machala.
“The bullet holes lodged in the back of the victim, who died almost instantly. We are coordinating the proceedings with the Prosecutor’s Office, ”said Cristian Espinoza, zonal chief of the National Directorate for Violent Deaths (Dinased).
According to witnesses, the victim was traveling on a motorcycle. When he observed the armed subjects, he tried to flee but was hit by the bullets. His body was left lying in an alley of the Côte d’Azur citadel.
Rosero’s friends explained that he was dedicated to repairing motorcycles in a workshop that he installed a few months ago. He also carried out sports activities such as neighborhood and second-rate football on weekends.

“There are several ballistic evidence that have been collected by police personnel and investigations are being carried out to determine the possible causes of this new violent death,” said Espinoza.
According to the figures managed by the Police in El Oro, so far this year there have been 129 violent deaths. A figure that exceeds that of 2020, which was 78.
