La Libertad: they seek to promote the export of leather and footwear

As part of the economic reactivation, from the Mincetur they seek that the leather and footwear industry in La Libertad can reach exports, for which there was a meeting in Trujillo between Minister Roberto Sánchez and producers in this sector. At the meeting, the needs of entrepreneurs in productive support and greater promotion in foreign markets were collected. For this reason, it was agreed to plan actions that allow companies in the sector to continue developing, through Mincetur, the Ministry of Production and Promperú.

One of the districts such as El Porvenir, with a population of 220,000 inhabitants, has 4,500 footwear production units, with only 20% operational, while 80% are paralyzed by the pandemic..

For several months, these businessmen have been asking the Government to buy six million school shoes through the social program Compras a MyPerú. This, to achieve an economic reactivation in that area of ​​the country.
