The Informal Property Formalization Agency (Cofopri) has launched the free campaign ‘Registered Lot, for the desired title’, this has the objective of urbanizing all areas of Peru. As detailed by the officials of this entity, it is intended to visit more than 100,000 lots in order to grant free property titles; this initiative will be in force throughout this year, they reported.

What is Cofopri?

He Informal Property Formalization Body (Cofopri) is a decentralized public body attached to the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation with legal status under public law and constitutes a budget statement. Cofopri is the highest governing body, in charge of designing and executing in an integral, comprehensive and rapid manner the property formalization program and its maintenance within formality at the national level, centralizing powers and decision-making for this purpose.
