Martín Ojeda, director of the National Land Transport Council, told La República that they accepted what the Executive proposed and have decided to “suspend tomorrow’s strike.” However, he respected the decision of heavy cargo carriers to reject the proposed measures.

The signed record to which he had access The Republicreveals that the Executive promised to prepare a bill to modify the refund of the Selective Consumption Tax (ISC) so that the refund of said tax is increased from 53% to 70%, which will be until 2025. In addition, Fines will not be considered as a requirement to access this benefit and it will be extended to regional interprovincial passenger transport.
