Exchange rate in Peru: how much is it trading today, Monday, April 4, 2022

The price of the dollar in Peru Today, Monday, April 4, 2022, it is quoted at S / 3.7400, according to the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP). While on the Bloomberg web portal the currency reaches S/ 3.7375. On the other hand, in the parallel marketthe US currency can be obtained at S/ 3,750 for the purchase and S/ 3,780 for the sale.

As recalled, the dollar on the last day of April 1, 2022, it closed at S/3.6300 at 1:30 p.m., as reported by the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP). Which meant a fall of -1.36% compared to the closing of the day before (S / 3,680). Likewise, the Peruvian sol was the second most appreciated currency (1.23%) in the region, only behind the Brazilian real (1.53%).

So far this year, the US currency accumulates a -9.05% devaluation. Meanwhile, the BCRP intervened with overnight currency Repo placements (Regular) for S/ 400 million at an average rate of 5.10 percent.

In the economic sphere, from this Monday, April 4, the corresponding reduction will be included in the Petroperú price list by exempting the collection of the Selective Consumption Tax (ISC) on gasoline of 84, 90 and diesel, according to the head of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), Óscar Graham. “We have coordinated with Petroperu so that the reduction of not taxing these fuels with ISC is included in the list prices from tomorrow,” he said at a press conference.
