Cidadania has registered three candidates in Minas Gerais to contest seats for federal deputy in the 2026 elections, according to data from the Superior Electoral Court.
The three contenders appearing on the ballot for the party are Eduardo Santos Locutor, Flecha de Lima, and Kathleen Reis. Each politician has been assigned an official voting number for the race, with Eduardo Santos Locutor running under 2312, Flecha de Lima under 2300, and Kathleen Reis under 2323.
Voters can inspect the registration documents and candidate profiles directly through the Superior Electoral Court website or by consulting the candidate repository maintained by CNN Brasil.
The race forms part of a major state contest in Minas Gerais, where 16,379,550 citizens are registered and eligible to vote. The state has 53 open seats in the federal Chamber of Deputies, and each elector casts a vote for only one candidate to fill those positions.
Chamber of Deputies representation
The Chamber of Deputies serves as the lower house of the National Congress of Brazil, based in the federal capital of Brasilia. Together with the Federal Senate, it handles national legislation and budgetary approvals. State delegations in the chamber are allocated according to population size, giving Minas Gerais the second largest parliamentary caucus in the country behind Sao Paulo.
The Superior Electoral Court, known in Brazil as the TSE, functions as the supreme judicial authority for national elections. The tribunal oversees the registration of all candidates, reviews campaign legalities, and administers the electronic voting machines used nationwide across every state and municipality.
Candidate status and election day
Officials noted that the list of candidates remains subject to alteration prior to the start of voting. Names may be removed from the ballot if candidacies are denied by the electoral court, withdrawn through resignation, or successfully challenged, as well as in cases of a candidate's death.
First round voting takes place on October 4, with polling stations open to electors across Minas Gerais from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Brasilia time.
