Due to the blockade of roads in various regions of Peru and in order to safeguard the safety and integrity of passengers, the Cruz del Sur company decided to suspend all its services, with the exception of the Lima-Huaraz-Lima route.
In this way, all tickets purchased from this transport company will be automatically postponed with an open date.
On Tuesday, December 13, the company announced that it would only serve the routes from Lima to Huancayo, Huaraz and Oxapampa, round trip; however, this Wednesday, December 14, it indicated that it would only operate on one route.
What does the State of Emergency decreed by the Government imply?
It should be noted that this afternoon the Government made official the declaration of a State of Emergency at the national level for 30 days. Mainly, what this measure implies is that the Peruvian National Police (PNP) will have control of order in the streets with the support of the Armed Forces (Army, Navy, FAP).
People can leave their houses as normal, but the police can order that certain areas cannot be circulated. The police can also enter homes without a warrant.
Finally, it is recalled that the intervention of the PNP and the Armed Forces is allowed as long as it complies with current regulations governing the use of force and its principles of legality, necessity, and proportionality.
