Bestemyanova said that the 15-year-old athlete received fair marks. “The ultra-c triple axel element performed by Valieva is more expensive than the double axel that Anna Shcherbakova jumped. And Valieva’s rotations should go with such pluses in relation to Shcherbakova’s rotations that this is not discussed, ”she answered the words of Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko about Valieva’s overestimated ratings.
Earlier, Plushenko commented on the results of the women’s short program. He considered that the judges were very generous to Valieva, and Shcherbakova’s rental was cleaner, so she should have become the leader.
Valieva became the first in the short program on February 15. For the rental, the athlete received 82.16 points. In second place is Shcherbakova with 80.20 points.
