Samsung plans to expand its flagship smartphone lineup by introducing a Galaxy S27 Pro model next year, according to leaked renders published by tech news outlet Android Headlines.
The tech publication reported that Samsung will release four flagship devices in the Galaxy S27 series next year instead of three. The new Pro model will sit between the standard Galaxy S27 and the top-tier Galaxy S27 Ultra.
Externally, the Galaxy S27 Pro mirrors the Ultra model with a redesigned rear camera setup. Rather than using individual protruding rings around each lens, Samsung will transition to a single horizontal camera plane similar to the design on the iPhone 17 Pro. The shared layout visually unifies the Pro and Ultra versions into a single flagship series.
The primary external difference between the two models is the absence of an S Pen slot on the Pro device. Samsung will reportedly reserve support for its signature digital stylus exclusively for the Galaxy S27 Ultra to maintain its status as the top device in the series.

The Galaxy S27 Pro will also be noticeably smaller than the Ultra handset. Leak details show that the Pro model features a 6.6-inch display and measures 154.06 by 73.77 by 7.95 mm.

Camera and hardware specifications
Despite their similar appearance, the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra will differ in their photography capabilities. Both smartphones are expected to feature a 200-megapixel main camera sensor and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera.
However, the Pro model will lack the more advanced telephoto lens found on the Ultra version. Instead of a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom, the Galaxy S27 Pro will feature a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
The Galaxy S27 Pro is also reported to run on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Extreme processor. Power will be supplied by a 5,200 mAh battery, which is slightly smaller than the expected 5,700 mAh capacity of the S27 Ultra but larger than the batteries in many compact flagships.
Release schedule and presentation timing
The official presentation of the Galaxy S27 series is expected in early 2027. Android Headlines expects Samsung to hold its Galaxy Unpacked launch event in February 2027, ahead of Mobile World Congress.
Samsung Electronics is a South Korean technology manufacturer headquartered in Suwon. Mobile World Congress, also known as MWC, is an annual mobile industry trade show held in Barcelona, Spain, where technology companies regularly announce flagship hardware.
