Novosibirsk City Council deputy Rostislav Antonov suggested that singer Polina Gagarina donate part of her fee from the concert at the celebration of the 85th anniversary of the region to help Donbass.
According to the parliamentarian in Telegram, the artist’s fee, according to him, will amount to 9 million rubles. “People are outraged, why do we have such expenses?” Antonov said.
In his opinion, “now we need to help those who are at the forefront.” He recalled that during the First World War, the queen worked as an operating sister, served sterilized instruments, cotton wool and bandages, carried away amputated legs and arms, and bandaged wounds.
“I do not expect such self-sacrifice from Polina, however, she could well spend part of her significant fee on targeted assistance to Donbass. For example, she could get involved in the work of removing children from the war zone. This would remove a lot of questions and fair public indignation,” the deputy believes.
