Nissan has introduced the 2027 Murano crossover in the United States with a new Dark Armor trim line and a higher starting price. The vehicle loses its entry-level SV model, raising the minimum price for the crossover by $2,320.
The base 2027 Nissan Murano now starts at $43,990 before a mandatory $1,545 destination charge. That brings the actual minimum cost of the crossover to $45,535.
Dark Armor trim features
The primary addition to the lineup is the Dark Armor edition, priced from $46,990. Positioned between the SL and Platinum trims, it features exterior styling updates including gloss black emblems, black decorative trim, 21-inch alloy wheels, and special Dark Armor badging.

Inside the cabin, the Dark Armor trim features graphite-colored Prima-Tex perforated seats. The front seats include power adjustments and heating functionality.
Additional standard equipment on the model includes a panoramic roof, sound-insulating front side glass, a 10-speaker Bose audio system, and multi-color ambient interior lighting.
Technology and powertrain specifications
The crossover comes equipped with dual 12.3-inch displays for the digital instrument panel and the NissanConnect infotainment system, which features built-in Google services. The cabin also provides Qi2 wireless device charging, dual-zone climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and the ProPILOT Assist suite of driver assistance features.

Mechanical components remain largely unchanged for the 2027 model year. All versions of the Nissan Murano retain a 2.0-liter four-cylinder VC-Turbo turbocharged engine producing 241 horsepower, mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
All-wheel drive comes as standard equipment across the entire Murano range. The primary technical update for the 2027 model year is the addition of a dedicated Snow Mode designed to improve traction on snow and other slippery road surfaces.
Japanese automaker Nissan originally introduced the Murano as a mid-size crossover SUV to combine family practicality with higher-tier comfort. The latest updates were detailed in a report by automotive publication Carscoops.
