Greece's ruling New Democracy party will tour 17 Northern Greece electoral districts from August 31 to September 4 ahead of the Thessaloniki International Fair.

Government ministers, deputy ministers, lawmakers, and party officials will travel daily to every constituency across the regions of Western Macedonia, Central Macedonia, and Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.

The campaign leads directly into the opening of the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair on Saturday, September 5, which will begin with the annual keynote address by Prime Minister and New Democracy President Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

New Democracy is Greece's primary centre-right political party. The Thessaloniki International Fair is an annual trade exhibition held in the northern port city, where Greek prime ministers traditionally set out national economic priorities and policy goals for the upcoming year.



Regional visits across Eastern Macedonia and Thrace

Delegations will cover five regional units in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace throughout the week. In Drama, lawmaker Thanasis Kavvadas will visit on Monday, August 31, followed by Vasilis Spanakis on Tuesday, September 1, and Adonis Georgiadis on Wednesday, September 2. Sofia Zacharaki will lead visits on Thursday, September 3, before Giannis Vroutsis and Kostas Katsafados conclude the schedule on Friday, September 4.

In Evros, Sevi Voloudaki will start visits on Monday, August 31. Adonis Georgiadis and Eirini Agapidaki will head the delegation on Tuesday, September 1, followed by Stavros Papastavrou on Thursday, September 3, and Michalis Chrysochoidis on Friday, September 4.

In Kavala, Dimitris Markopoulos will lead on Monday, August 31. Kostas Vlasis and Marilena Soukouli will visit on Wednesday, September 2, followed by Giorgos Floridis and Vasilis Kikilias on Thursday, September 3, and Kostas Katsafados on Friday, September 4.

In Xanthi, Kostas Karagounis begins the visits on Monday, August 31, followed by Dimitris Markopoulos on Tuesday, September 1. Adonis Georgiadis and Eirini Agapidaki will head the team on Wednesday, September 2. Nikos Dendias and Eirini Agapidaki will visit on Thursday, September 3, before Kostas Katsafados arrives on Friday, September 4.

In Rodopi, Giannis Andrianos leads visits on Monday, August 31, Adonis Georgiadis on Tuesday, September 1, Lazaros Tsavdaridis on Wednesday, September 2, and Nikos Dendias alongside Christos Dermentzopoulos on Thursday, September 3.

Delegation schedules in Central Macedonia

The tour spans eight regional units and electoral districts across Central Macedonia. In Thessaloniki A, Anna Karamanli begins visits on Monday, August 31. Christos Dimas and Michalis Chrysochoidis lead on Wednesday, September 2, while Giorgos Kotsiras, Thanasis Davakis, and Anna Karamanli will head the delegation on Thursday, September 3.

In Thessaloniki B, Sevi Voloudaki visits on Tuesday, September 1, Dimitris Papastergiou on Wednesday, September 2, and Giannis Vroutsis on Thursday, September 3.

In Imathia, Thanos Plevris visits on Monday, August 31. Kostis Hatzidakis, Michalis Chrysochoidis, and Lina Mendoni lead visits on Wednesday, September 2, followed by Vasilis Spanakis on Thursday, September 3.

In Kilkis, Kostas Vlasis begins the schedule on Monday, August 31, Margaritis Schinas visits on Tuesday, September 1, Domna Michailidou and Haris Theoharis visit on Thursday, September 3, and Niki Kerameus concludes on Friday, September 4.

In Pella, Thanos Plevris visits on Tuesday, September 1, Margaritis Schinas on Wednesday, September 2, and Kostas Karagounis on Thursday, September 3.

In Pieria, Kostis Hatzidakis begins visits on Monday, August 31, Thanasis Kontogeorgis visits on Tuesday, September 1, Anna Karamanli on Wednesday, September 2, Makis Voridis on Thursday, September 3, and Elena Rapti on Friday, September 4.

In Serres, Margaritis Schinas leads on Monday, August 31, Giannis Vroutsis on Tuesday, September 1, Adonis Georgiadis on Thursday, September 3, and Makis Voridis on Friday, September 4.

In Halkidiki, Stavros Kalafatis begins visits on Monday, August 31, Anna Efthymiou visits on Tuesday, September 1, Olga Kefalogianni on Wednesday, September 2, and Lina Mendoni on Thursday, September 3.

Visits throughout Western Macedonia

Party delegations will also cover four regional units in Western Macedonia. In Grevena, Stavros Papastavrou leads on Monday, August 31, Nikos Papaioannou on Tuesday, September 1, Christos Dimas on Wednesday, September 2, and Niki Kerameus on Thursday, September 3.

In Kastoria, Takis Theodorikakos and Iasonas Fotilas lead visits on Tuesday, September 1, Giannis Andrianos on Wednesday, September 2, and Nikos Papaioannou on Thursday, September 3.

In Kozani, Dimitris Papastergiou and Stavros Kalafatis visit on Tuesday, September 1, Nikos Tachiaos on Wednesday, September 2, Sevi Voloudaki on Thursday, September 3, and Giorgos Kotsiras on Friday, September 4.

In Florina, Lina Mendoni opens the tour on Monday, August 31, Nikos Tachiaos visits on Tuesday, September 1, Iasonas Fotilas on Wednesday, September 2, and Giorgos Gerapetritis on Thursday, September 3.

Thessaloniki youth and transport event

In addition to constituency tours, New Democracy and its youth organization, ONNED, will hold several specialized events in Thessaloniki. On Wednesday, September 2, at 6:30 p.m., ONNED will organize an event on urban mobility titled Thessaloniki moves: A city with safe and modern transport.

The gathering will take place in the outdoor area of Thessaloniki Town Hall. Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Christos Dimas and Minister of Citizen Protection Michalis Chrysochoidis will be the keynote speakers.

Disability and entrepreneurship conferences

On Thursday, September 3, at 5:00 p.m., the New Democracy Secretariat for Persons with Disabilities and the party's Executive Committee of Thessaloniki Prefecture will host a conference on disability issues. The meeting will take place at the Executive Committee headquarters at 6 Michail Kalou Street in Thessaloniki.

Minister of State Akis Skertsos will give the keynote address. Participants will include New Democracy Political Committee Secretary Konstantinos Kyranakis, Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family General Secretary for Social Solidarity and Fighting Poverty Konstantinos Megaritis, Executive Committee President Zisis Ioakeimovitis, and New Democracy Disability Secretariat Secretary Kostas Lolitsas.

On Friday, September 4, at 4:30 p.m., the Secretariat for Productive Bodies and Entrepreneurship and the Thessaloniki Executive Committee will host an entrepreneurship workshop under the Enterprise! initiative in the Manolis Anagnostakis Hall at Thessaloniki Town Hall.

Keynote speakers will include Minister of State Akis Skertsos and Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister Thanasis Kontogeorgis. Welcome remarks will be delivered by Konstantinos Kyranakis, Party General Director Giannis Smyrlis, Press Spokesperson Alexandra Sdoukou, Productive Bodies and Entrepreneurship Secretary Akis Bafas, and Zisis Ioakeimovitis.

Civic volunteer initiative in Aristotelous Square

The week of activities will wrap up on the morning of Saturday, September 5, with an awareness initiative organized by the New Democracy Secretariat for Volunteerism in Aristotelous Square.

The event aims to highlight the work of civil society organizations across the region. Residents of Thessaloniki will be invited to participate in hands-on activities, learn about community initiatives, and register as volunteers.
