'My Hero Academia' Unveils Himiko Toga Birthday Art

The "My Hero Academia" franchise released a special illustration of Himiko Toga on Friday, August 7, 2026, to mark the character's birthday. The image, posted through the franchise's official @myheroacademia account on X, quickly spread among fans of the series.

Himiko Toga was a member of the League of Villains in "My Hero Academia" and later became one of the leaders of the Paranormal Liberation Front. Her quirk, called Transform, let her physically turn into another person and copy their voice, as long as she had first drunk their blood, allowing her to infiltrate, deceive and attack without being detected.

What the new artwork shows

The illustration is designed as a phone wallpaper, combining the visual style of Kohei Horikoshi's manga with a palette that alternates black and white with magenta tones. At its center is a close-up of Himiko Toga smiling widely, showing her pointed fangs, her two messy hair buns and the school uniform she wears as her usual disguise. Behind and around the main figure, the piece includes additional illustrations of the villain in magenta tones along with graphic and typographic elements tied to the franchise's aesthetic.

Her role in the story

Himiko first appeared during the Training Camp arc and remained active at key points in the plot, including the Provisional Hero License Exam, the raid on Overhaul, and especially the Paranormal Liberation War, where her bond with Twice and her clash with Ochaco Uraraka pushed her to an emotional breaking point. Her arc from secondary villain to one of the antagonists' central figures is one of the reasons she continues to generate conversation years after her manga debut.

Where to watch the anime

The "My Hero Academia" anime is available on Crunchyroll, which holds streaming rights to the title for North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, the CIS and the Indian subcontinent. Viewers need an active subscription to the platform to watch the show.
