Moscow has seen the last of this summer's heat, leading specialist Yevgeny Tishkovets of the Phobos weather center told Moskva 24.
Tishkovets said Muscovites will say goodbye to hot summer weather as soon as this coming weekend, August 15-16. He said residents should prepare for a change in weather conditions, including a cooldown expected in the second half of the working week. He repeated that the capital will not see 30-degree heat again this year.
Autumn weather outlook
Tishkovets earlier said an Indian summer would arrive in central Russia and most of the Russian Plain, likely in September. He noted that during that period, the average monthly air temperature would run 1.5 to 2 degrees warmer than normal, with precipitation deficits of 20 to 40 percent.
