Amazon has reduced the price of the 2026 LG gram 16-inch laptop to 1,299 euros in a flash deal.
The promotion cuts 600 euros from the original recommended retail price of 1,899 euros, marking a historic low price for the 16U55U-G.AU85BN model. The discount provides significant savings on one of the primary Windows alternatives to Apple MacBook laptops in the premium ultrabook market.
Apple laptops are widely regarded as the benchmark for portable computers due to their design, build quality and performance. LG developed the gram series to offer a lightweight competitor with long battery life without compromising computing power.
Design and display specs
The LG gram 16-inch laptop features a corporate design intended for professional environments. It incorporates a 16-inch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and WUXGA resolution of 1,920 by 1,200 pixels, featuring an anti-reflective treatment.
The expanded screen layout allows users to work comfortably across multiple windows, Excel spreadsheets, documents and programming environments. Despite its 16-inch screen size, the laptop weighs approximately 1,800 grams, or 1.8 kilograms.
Battery life is a major highlight of the device, addressing a common limitation in Windows laptops. LG states that the battery delivers up to 26 hours of autonomy on a single charge.
Hardware and artificial intelligence
The laptop is powered by an AMD Ryzen AI 7 445 processor alongside 32 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512 GB of ultrafast SSD internal storage. Windows 11 comes pre-installed on the device, providing a plug-and-play experience out of the box.
The processor produces up to 50 TOPS, or trillion operations per second, of performance for artificial intelligence workloads. That capacity classifies the device as a Copilot+ PC, a category of Windows computers equipped with dedicated neural processing hardware to run artificial intelligence applications locally.
Software features include integration with Microsoft Copilot, one year of free access to ChatGPT, and LG gram AI, an artificial intelligence tool that operates on the device without requiring an internet connection.
Security features and connectivity
Security and privacy options include facial recognition login and a physical webcam shutter. Users can also utilize the LG ThinQ smartphone application to block or erase data remotely if the laptop is lost or compromised.
The device includes six high-speed ports: two USB 3.2 ports, two USB-C Power Delivery ports, one HDMI port and a headphone jack. Cross-device software called LG gram Link allows users to share content between the laptop and devices running iOS, Android or webOS.
