H&M has launched “Co-Exist Story”, an “animal-friendly” collection.

Approved by PETA, (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), the collection offers innovative alternatives to animal-derived fabrics and processes such as “Flwrdwn”, an alternative to animal down made with wild flowers, or “Yulex” , natural rubber as an alternative to neoprene, as well as “Vegea”, a vegan substitute for grape-based leather.
This new line, which will be available worldwide from November 4, is clearly inspired by the 90s and combines innovative fabrics and materials from more sustainable sources with an avant-garde mindset.
Key women’s pieces include a cream-colored faux fur coat on recycled polyester and a one shoulder knit dress with a dramatic fringed hem
For men, an oversized recycled nylon jacket with a graffiti print that exudes an urban-style aesthetic.
In the accessories, the heavy-duty rubber fisherman boots and comfortable cushioned shoes. The collection also includes vegan makeup: two lipsticks and eyeliners.
For boys, recycled nylon windbreakers and padded jackets appear in bold tones, while T-shirts and the garments of being around the house propose patches with messages that declare loyalty to the kingdom animal. (I)
